Melissa Hendrickx, Program Director

Melissa has taught social studies and language arts at the middle and high school levels. Currently, she serves as an adjunct English professor at the University of St. Thomas.  Her academic background is in minority American literature and her courses emphasize the intersections between the humanities, identity, and technology.  She believes literature is a primary vehicle for building empathy and examining our own perspectives.  She has Bachelor's degrees in English and German, as well as a Master's degree in English.

At AMAZE, Melissa utilizes her interest in technology to develop and maintain the organization's online resources and infrastructure.  She is responsible for order processing and materials management, and also contributes to curriculum writing.
